Update

Dear The Way family,

In light of the developing situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to share with you some of the things we are doing as a church in order to stay in line with faith and wisdom.

Psalm 46:1-2 (NIV) God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.

As always, your physical health and safety (along with your spiritual welfare) are important to us. Here is an update:

  1. Let us stay in a place of faith and prayer, as the world, our nation and our community is attacked with corona virus.
  2. We are paying close attention to what public health officials are saying. In line with their recommendations, we are encouraging those who don’t feel well to stay home to rest and recuperate. If you are aren’t feeling well let us know so we can pray for you as well.
  3. If you don’t feel comfortable with hugs or handshake during our greeting time, use a bump, elbow bump, and other form of greeting that doesn’t involve direct contact.Have fun with it!
  4. As soon as we can we’ll put hand sanitizer out … in the meantime, there is antibacterial soap in each bathroom. Please use it liberally – recommended washing is for 20 seconds

Finally, we are people defined by trust in God, not by fear.

Let’s continue to pray for our health care workers who are on the front lines. Let’s pray wisdom over our governmental officials who are thinking through these complicated issues. Let’s also continue to love one another, particularly those who are vulnerable in our community, and let’s trust the Lord to watch over us and bring this virus to an end.

Please feel free to utilize our safe and secure, online giving options.

This is an opportunity for the Church to show courage, hope, and love to our neighbors.

Trusting in Him,

Pastor Terry
